In these Terms and Conditions, unless the context requires, the following expressions have the following meaning.

Our Service

MealMap is an online portal website which acts as an interface between the consumer and the food providers listed on our website. The legal contract for the purchase of the goods and food delivery service is between you (the customer) and the food provider that you place your order with (the takeaway), we are acting only as an agent.

Access use Terms for the website

Most of our website and mobile application is open to all users to view our products and services. Access is given to areas of the website and mobile application without making orders or registering any personal information for an account to make future purchases.

You confirm that all information you provide to us, is true and accurate in all respects.

Legal Age Terms

When placing an order using the website or mobile application, you are at least 18 years old, and you must be legally capable of entering into binding contracts with the Restaurant.

You agree that you will contact the restaurant directly in the case of any food allergy or intolerance, this must be done before any order is placed.

Where Alcohol is for sale, you must agree that you understand and acknowledge, it is an offence in the UK to buy, attempt to buy, or for someone to buy for anyone under the age of 18. If your order includes any alcohol, you will be asked to provide satisfactory proof that you are over the age of 18, the Restaurant you have chosen reserves the right to refuse the delivery of any age restricted products such as alcohol, if they believe it has been ordered and brought on behalf of or by someone under the age of 18.

Ordering and Processing Orders

Below is outlined how orders are created and processed.

To order products through our website you may create an account or select guest checkout. With your chosen Restaurant, once you are happy with the products you have selected, you can complete the order by selecting “place order” or “complete my order”

Please be careful to check the correct information is provided before selecting to complete. This includes, contact details, delivery/collection time details and food quantity and selection.

once you click complete order you will be entering into a contract with the selected restaurant and errors on your behalf may not be corrected.

Once you complete your order and payment has been accepted, we will then confirm your order with the Restaurant, we will confirm with you that the order has been accepted by the Restaurant.

If the Restaurant rejects or cancels the order we will communicate this to you promptly. Where the Restaurant rejects or cancels an order, payment will be cancelled or refunded back to you.

Delivery of orders

For delivery times for orders, are provided by the Restaurant, and we must stress these are only estimated times. MealMap nor the Restaurant can guarantee delivery times. All estimated delivery times provided by the chosen Restaurant are given with the best of intentions to fulfil within this time where possible.

When selecting the delivery option you will be confirming you will be available to accept the delivery of your order at the delivery address selected.

Order Cancellation and Amendments

Once the order has been confirmed and payment taken from your account, you will be unable to cancel your order and will not be eligible for a refund. To change or cancel your order please contact the restaurant you contracted with who may be able to action your request. This is not guaranteed however as food processing may already be underway.

Compensation

If you are unhappy with the quality of any goods or the service provided by the Takeaway and wish to seek any form of compensation, you should contact the Takeaway directly to raise your complaint and, where appropriate, follow the Takeaway's own complaint procedures. 

Please note that MealMap will assist wherever possible, it has no control over the Takeaway or the quality of the goods or service that they provide, and are not able to provide, and have no responsibility or liability for providing, any compensation to you on behalf of any Takeaway.

Disclaimers

Website information

While we try to ensure that the information on the website is correct and up to date, we can't promise it will be accurate or complete at all times. We may need to make changes to the website from time to time, this may include the website layout, functionality, information regarding the website of Restaurants and this may also include products, prices, and delivery.

Restaurant obligations

The legal contract for the supply and purchase of products is between you and the Restaurant. Any dissatisfaction with the service or product should be between you and the Restaurant. All timings for delivery and collections are estimated only, and we do not guarantee that any of the estimated times given will be upheld.

Allergy, and dietary information

We try to keep all our Restaurant menu up to date as and when the Restaurant updates on any changes to the menu, this includes any ingredients and allergy information. We would always advise you to contact the Restaurant directly if you have any allergy, dietary needs, or you have any concerns and questions about the ingredients in a dish you wish to order.

This privacy policy explains how we treat your personal information when you create an account or use our ordering service.

  • Personal information is information about you that is personally identifiable like your name, email address or phone number.
  • Non-Identifiable information is information that our system records in order to use our services. It is not possible to identify you using this data. This data may include the page you browsing, the OS you are using and the browser you are using

Usage Data

We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device ("Usage Data").

This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

  • MealMap will use your personal Data you provide to create an Account and to use our services
  • MealMap will use this information for the following purposes; product updates and improvements, service provision, billing, authentication and contact.
  • MealMap does not sell, trade, rent or distribute your personal data to third parties except for specific situations where we will highlight exactly what data we are sharing.
  • Your personal data will be disclosed to the restaurant from which you make your purchase.
  • MealMap may disclose your personal data where it complies with a court order or other legal process or request by law enforcement authorities or to defend itself against any legal claims.

Service Providers

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Storage & Security

  • MealMap services are provided using hosting services of AWS (Amazon Web Services)
  • Your account information is password protected
  • The security of all data is very important. MealMap implements the following measures, protection of servers by firewalls, SSL connections and encryption of sensitive data. This list is not exhaustive.

  • Cookie & usage data

Where online payment is involved. No personal bank card details are collected or stored by MealMap during the process.

You may request the removal of your data at anytime. For technical support or help with deletion of any of your data. Please email our data support officer on info@vittle.co.uk

Account Management

Should you wish to delete your account, all information listed will be removed. To do so, users can self administrate by logging in on the app and following the delete account procedure using the link in the app. Alternatively for assistance in doing so.
